Distinguished local artist, Kasey H. Moran and her painting, "The Key Lady" are featured on the cover and in this month's edition of "Natural Awakenings" magazine:

The Key LadyKasey Moran blends Art Nouveau and surrealism to capture the emotion of her favorite subject, the Divine Feminine.

"The Key Lady came to me to show me that we all have the key to open our own doors to our lives, our souls. To me, she shows the Divine Feminine that encourages our process to look within to examine and accept our personal power."

Self-taught, Kasey has been drawing and creating since she was a child with a flair for the feminine. She cites her visual inspirations as Gustav Klimt, Frida Kahlo and Odilo Redon. Kahlo's love of portraits as a medium for self-examination can be seen in Kasey's passionate expression of women in states of reflection, grace and change. Applying a stylized surrealistic approach and a love of symbolism shared by Klimt and Redon, Kasey's work takes the viewer to a place where the many faces of the Divine Feminine whisper secrets and sing songs of joy.

Kasey lives in Asheville, NC with her husband, 2 boys and 3 cats. Her work can be seen at Divine Connection in Black Mountain and at the Center of Unlimited Possibilities in Asheville..."
